Seafox orders new-generation, wind turbine installation vessel

Seafox has chosen the Keppel FELS Limited’s (Keppel FELS) multi-purpose self-elevating platform (MPSEP) design as the basis for a new-generation, wind turbine installation vessel that can withstand harsh offshore environmental conditions all year round in water depths of 65 metres in the North Sea. Compared with existing wind turbine installation vessels, and the majority of those being constructed, this vessel can operate in some 45%-deeper waters, while reducing downtime even in extreme storm conditions, thus providing a potentially longer operational window.

Nieuwe directeur Taqa Energy

Per 1 september wordt Jan Willem van Hoogstraten de nieuwe algemeen directeur van Taqa Energy BV. Jan Willem vervangt Paul van Gelder, die als CEO in dienst treedt bij de Gasunie. Van Hoogstraten werkt sinds januari 2008 voor Taqa als Project Director van de Bergermeer Gas Opslag. Hij werkte eerder onder meer van Wintershall en Shell.

Nieuwe verzekering voor beroepsduikers

Intramar insurances heeft in samenwerking met een vooraanstaande Nederlandse verzekeraar een volwaardige arbeidsongeschiktheidsverzekering voor zelfstandige beroepsduikers ontwikkeld. Unieke kenmerken zijn de maximale acceptatieleeftijd (40 jaar voor beroepsduikers) en de acceptatie-procedure: deze kan vrijwel altijd zonder medische keuring.
